Evans AEWC - Providing the youth of Echo Park “One More Chance” for a quality education

The Evans Service Area Alternative Education and Work Center, AEWC serves dropouts and at-risk youth in the Echo Park Area. Students, ages, 15, 16 and 17, can catch up on credits to graduate. Because of an expedited enrollment process, students are able to quickly return to the path of success through education.  Evans AEWC offers quality instruction, personalized graduation planning and counseling services.

Co-located on the Sandra Cisneros Learning Academy Campus, Evans AEWC is a WASC accredited school, offering courses accepted by all colleges and universities. Evans AEWC students are also eligible to take vocational courses, such as computer operations, child development and health information, at the Evans Community Adult School free of charge. Some students may even qualify for the California dream act, and/or the United States deferred action for childhood arrivals program
