DJ/producer Goura Chandra and Raffi Roumdikian, owner of downtown's Seven Bar, are launching a new vegetarian restaurant on Alvarado near Sunset - opening in 2012, according to Eater LA. 

It sounds great and ambitious considering Mohawk Bend, a vegan craft beer cool place, took two years to open. Worth the wait though. Hopefully Chandra's new venture will be as well - though Yelpers only give Seven Bar 3 stars.

The LEED Certified Eco 1030 started leasing its 20 units year ago.

Chandra, a lifelong vegetarian, will feature micro-brews and boutique wines, according to Eater LA.But no live music - Chandra plans to hire DJs to play "cutting edge alternative music" in the restaurant's lounge area.
